Hypnosis is a state of natural, deep relaxation which has been likened to ‘day dreaming’ or a ‘timeless feeling’, like the space we experience just before falling asleep.

Hypnotherapy entails the use of trance and safe & sensible suggestions to change habits of thought, feelings and behaviours. As your hypnotherapist, I am committed to working with you and helping you to open the door to your potential and success. A treatment program rarely lasts more than three sessions. A lot of people only require one session to achieve their goal - and that includes a lot of smokers.
1. “Would I be asked to do something against my will?”.
The answer is ‘No’. You will not do or say anything under hypnosis that goes against your will or your own beliefs. You are in control the whole time.
2. “Is a doctor’s referral necessary?”.
Generally, not. There are, however, some presenting conditions that would require a doctor’s written consent. This would be determined when we speak prior to making an appointment.
3. “Can anyone be hypnotised?”.
Most people can be – some more easily than others. The depth of relaxation that people reach in hypnosis varies. It is not necessary to achieve a very deep level of hypnosis to bring about a positive change of mind.
4. “How many sessions will I need?”.
As every person is different, allow 2 to 5 sessions. This would be established at the initial consultation.
